Take Me Somewhere Else
I know. It’s been a while. I haven’t had any good to say about anything.
I still don’t.
On the flip side, I don’t have anything bad to say either.
I suppose I’m just tired of fighting. I removed myself from Facebook because the ignorant people on there is astounding. I truly believe if people stopped watching Fox News then this would be a better world to live in. Nothing but propaganda and deceit comes from that channel. There’s a total disregard for facts. I was raised to never lie. And I haven’t lied since the day my mother opened up a brand new bar of Zest soap and made me eat it because I lied about something. I don’t even remember what the lie was. But I’ll never forget vomiting up soap bubbles for days. I haven’t lied since that day. Whether it’s good, bad or ugly – I have always told the truth. So it stings when I hear someone else lying just because they can get away with it.
To catch you up…I’ve been writing a lot. My sleep is always accompanied by dreams. Not just one motion picture, but four or five of them per night. I remember some bits and pieces of them. So I’ve decided that not only am I trying desperately to finish book two of The Gemin series, I’m also writing a series of short stories. I figured that I might as well channel my disdain for this current world into prose. I’ve gotten ten different titles so far. So look for the short stories in the future. I’m certain you’ll have as much fun reading them as Tim and I did talking about the stories on the balcony.
I’ve reconnected with my bratty little brother (Josh) who lives up Boston way. I miss him and he’s getting older fast! If you’ve ever listened to B2K Radio (and I know you have!) then you’ll know him as the voice who starts the show. He’s got a son (little Lincoln Log) (that’s not really his name, I just call him that) and jobs and is always busy. That’s the way of the world I suppose. People are always too busy.
I’m an adult – or like to think of myself as one. I try never to piss anyone off as long as they don’t disturb my bubble. I believe in car kharma. Ask Tim. He’s the one who gets to see it the most. Car kharma is when I see someone trying to get out of a parking lot, I’ll hold back the traffic behind me to let them out. There…I just got ONE car kharma. I don’t mind parking ten or fifteen spots away from the entrance of a building. I can walk to the door. Someone else might not be so lucky. Another car kharma there. And when I gather those kharma points all up – I can use them to change a red light to green with my mind and forfeit a good five kharma points in the process. haha It works for me. It may not work for you. I don’t encourage you playing this game.
Tim now has an Xbox One. We did the adult thing and saved up for it. He went without one for months while we were saving. He’s been on the thing 24/7 since he got it. I’m not sure why he has to play the video games on SUPER BLAST levels, so we got him a pair of good headphones. We actually did research to find the right pair that will not be uncomfortable and not press his ears into his scalp. Oh – and noise cancelling. That was important. NOW when he’s on the Xbox (again…all the time) I have to go downstairs to check on him because I can actually hear the refrigerator running in the kitchen now. It was a foreign sound to me for so long. The funny part about Tim wearing headphones is that he now yells like he’s got Tourettes. It’s silent and out of nowhere I hear him yell, “WOW!! HOLY SHIT!!” and then silence until I hear, “DAMMIT!!”. If you were here you’d giggle a little while the dogs bark at the sudden outbursts coming from downstairs.
And you’ve been caught up. I swear I’ll write more often. This is like a release for me since I don’t care if I’m spelling anything right or putting correct punctuation in its place. I’ll have to update everyone on the new dating apps that we’re working on. I’m telling you – I’m always at work here. If it’s not on art, or writing, or B2K Radio, then I’m working on coding and building apps and websites. This will be a big announcement when I come out with it. If you’re reading this and want to be a part of the ground level crew and grow with us, contact me and we’ll include you. I have a lot of friends who would definitely be interested in what we’re doing and I would love input from the outside.
Until next time! Happy Easter for those of you who celebrate it. Did Jesus come back this year? Or is this not his year we get to witness that miracle??
